Puerto Jiminez and the Golfo Dulce

Golfo Dulce, 'the Sweet Gulf' Once again we stayed at Cabinas Jiminez for the first few nights, and though the beautiful property cost more than we usually budget, the free kayaks and bikes and quick access to the water more than made up for it! Later we moved to a room that cost half that.

Kayaking Before Sunrise On The Mysterious Golfo Dulce, A Large Sea Turtle Gives Us Two Heads Up

Osa's Misty shore, sunrise high tide

We paddled before sunrise, around two piers and up a river, crossed a narrow sand neck to a deserted beach, hoping to see Volcán Barú down in Panama, watch sunrise, look for whales....

Laura appears very small at the base of the giant mangroves....
